Pulaski's legion: the only decent heavy cavalry of the US, enough said. they are slightly better in melee than normal long rifles, but i cant seem to get them to hide as well, it may just be me. with the best accuracy in the game, they can flat out beat fergies in a shooting match, even with the slower reload. Morgans rifles: Historicaly an awesome unit, they dont dissapoint. Both units are still better than normal dragoons (they can actually charge a line and take fire without routing). pretty much the same story as with the light dragoons. Lee's legion: Clones of britians brunswickers, they look much cooler though. in comparison, they are almost statistical clones of Tarleton's light dragoons. If only it wernt for the restrictions, people would replace their entire line with the 1st delaware and these guys, and still not break the bank.Ģnd continental light dragoons: Umm really just light dragoons with slightly better charge and melee stats, the main point of these guys is that america finally gets dragoons!! it may only be one unit, but if you find them usefull then here's your xmas gift. They do, however, allow your line inf to go toe to toe with any european nations infantry. They are slightly better all around, but not really elite infantry.

These guys, along with the 2nd new york, are baisically meant to make up for the deficiencies that standard US inf have, but most euro elite infantry will break them.Ģnd New York: Pretty much the same as the 1st Delaware. They should be used in the center of your line to block bayonette and cav charges. costing about 100 more than standard line inf, they have slightly better melee defense and morale, but not that much more. As a side note, the USA is starting to copy the brits in playstyle and army composition.ġst delaware: They look like grenadiers with their caps and may be mistaken for prussians, but in reality they arn't that special. However in my opinion the new dragoons and lancers added to the USA finally fills out thier cavalry section, making them far more usefull. On the price to quality spectrum most fall in as above average line infantry, but slightly lower than a factions elite infantry (with one notable and UBER exeption). The Units added to pretty much all the factions in reality arn't that elite. So i know people have been asking for info and feedback on the new DLC, so here are my impressions from playing a series of custom battles and trying out all the new units in the field (note i haven't accessed them on the campaign map so that will have to wait).
